Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Felicia Terry

My name is Felicia Terry and I am the GCS/Content Mastery teacher in the high school.

I grew up in and graduated from Bruceville-Eddy in 2007. I then attended McLennan Community College to earn my Associate of Arts degree. While I was finishing my degree at MCC, I began attending Tarleton State University at their Waco location and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. After both of my degrees were completed, I joined the alternative teaching program with Region 12 to become certified to teach in Texas. I have been working at BEISD since 2015. I started with substitute teaching and worked my way up to full time teaching. Teaching is very important to me because I love to help kids reach their full potential.

I got married in March 2018, so that means that some may know me as Ms. Hollins from years in the past. However, this means that the kids will call me one of three names… Mrs. Felicia, Ms. Hollins or Mrs. Terry. As long as they are respectful, I am not too picky on what I am called. J We have a daughter named Skylar, she is 9 years old and is currently in the 4th grade in the intermediate.  We also have a furry child named Zoey. We enjoy being together as a family and spending time with our extended families as well. If we are not working or doing something with Skylar, then you can usually find us with one of our extended families.

You may be wondering.. What in the world is GCS?!?

GCS stands for Grand Central Station. So just like the one located in New York, there is a little bit of everything going on in this room throughout the day. I have students that come in to take tests, have tests read to them, get extra help on assignments and subject material or even just to play catch up on assignments-especially if they have been absent for an extended amount of time. The pace of the room depends on the needs of the students that day.

I will do whatever it takes to help the students succeed but they also have to be willing to put in the effort to succeed. I am very excited about this year and cannot wait to see how much all the students grow over this school year.
